This Christmas morning, we went to church at 11am here in Buda. For the homily, Father Deane wanted to talk about the birth of Jesus and needed a prop, a baby. He went to 3 other babies. Two of them cried immediately, so he didn't pick them up. He held the next one for a bit and then he continued to cry. So he passed him back to his mommy.
Then he noticed Nathan holding an almost asleep Brant at the back of the church and motioned for him to come up front. Nathan passed Brant to Father Deane and stood off to the side. Father Deane held Brant in the middle of the church and talked for at least 10-15 minutes before he finally handed Brant back over to his daddy.
While Father was holding Brant, he stared, cooed, and smiled. We were all in the pew laughing. My dad was so proud and touched that he was crying. It was such a beautiful Mass.
What a great day we've had. The kids got such a loot of gifts. My dad is 70 and doing well. We are happy. We are healthy. We are blessed.
Merry Christmas!
