I watched a lot of Sesame Street when I was little. But probably most of it was before age 3, so I don't remember a lot of it.
I just think that people forget how much of a natural thing breastfeeding is. It's not meant to be dirty, yet it is perceived that way. I think of all of the magazines, TV shows, videos, etc. out there with breasts out there in plain view and I cringe. Now that's where the problem lies.
Susan, I know what you mean. I'd hope that the show wouldn't be bashed. But it's sad that in this day in age breastfeeding is still looked down upon. The show would be doing a good thing by reairing/updating that scene, but others wouldn't think so.
I am 31 years old (3.14.77). I am married (6.27.98) to Richard (7.7.77) and we have two daughters, Kyra Marie (6.16.01) and Maeve Elizabeth (4.28.05). We also have two cute chihuahuas named Mia and Zoe. I also teach Body Flow for Gold's Gym. I adore my family, thank God for my friends, am a self-proclaimed "gym rat", and just want to live life to the fullest!

Unbelievable! I never knew they showed that! I either never saw it, or it wasn't part of Sesame Street I recall.

I don't remember that episode either. Can you imagine though what kind of bashing Sesame Street would get from some people if they aired that now?
